SUPPORT FOR THE TROOPS?

One thing’s become readily apparent to me since George Bush was elected President …

The Liberal Left is a bunch of SORE LOSERS …

Yes, Conservatives have lost elections before and yes, we’ve not been happy about it and yes, we’ve even complained openly.

But we never acted like a bunch of spoiled schoolchildren playing “marbles” on the playground and announcing “Hmmmmf! I’m taking my marbles and leaving!”

But this is exactly what the folks on the left have done. Look around you – the examples are plentiful and the conduct so egregious that it could lead America into the arms of destruction no matter what Conservatives do.

Senior Enlisted Non-Commissioned Officers of all military services have a saying … “We argue in private – but in front of the troops we support the policy!” This saying is as old as the military services are – it’s the first thing I learned when I became a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy. I dare say it’s the first thing that a Senior NCO in the Army, the Air Force, or the Marines learns also. The theory – nay, the FACT – behind this saying is that a critical mission cannot be performed with success when there is division and disunity spread among the troops. The Senior NCO’s of all our military services take heed in the historical advice …

“United we stand, Divided we fall”

The Senior NCO corps, like the Founding Fathers of this nation – knew that it did no side any good to “prove” they were right if all sides perished in the exercise. This is something that the Liberal Left refuses to acknowledge.

Consider some of the things going on right now and in the recent past …

When was the last time you heard a Liberal Democrat get behind the President and SUPPORT him on an issue involving the war? I’m not talking about a “half-hearted” supportive vote on the floor of Congress given after a speech filled with “reservations”, “regrets”, and “blame” levied at the President. I’m talking about … when was the last time you heard a LIBERAL Democrat rise and say something like “I don’t care what anyone says here – this Nation is the greatest Nation that has ever existed on this planet in human history – and we are now faced with a threat that could bury us. I FULLY SUPPORT the actions of our Republican President to defeat this enemy!” When’s the last time you head ANY liberal say this with PASSION?

Ever heard anything of the sort from Ted Kennedy? Charles Schumer? Dick Durbin? How about the DEMOCRATIC MINORITY LEADER HARRY REID? They huff and puff – get all red faced – and they speak with PASSION a lot – but only to tear down this President. NEVER in support of him – not once.

We don’t have much here from the Liberal Left to support a victory in this war.

What we do have is a lot of poisonous sniping from the left – not at Osama – but at our own elected President…

On the eve of war with Iraq – Liberal Democrats go and pay homage to Sadaam Hussein – then allow themselves to be used by the extremist Muslim press for propaganda purposes – all because they are upset that a Republican is in the White House. Support the purveyors of terror – but don’t support the country that gave you life and freedom when a Republican is in office.

While the President and the Secretary of Defense desperately attempt to get information out of captured terrorists to prevent OUR children here in the U.S. from being attacked again by jihadists – as they were on 9-11 – Liberal Democrats virtually GANG RAPE the President because they’ve heard that a guard might have thrown a Koran in the toilet down in Guantanamo Bay. Then the story turns out to be false. But it matters not – support the purveyors of terror even when the evidence is questionable. And never support the country that gave you life and freedom when a Republican is in office.

While the President and the Secretary of Defense desperately attempt to win the “hearts and minds” of the Iraqi people so that a Democratic government can be installed there quickly – and our troops withdrawn – Liberal Democrats virtually GANG RAPE the President because a handful of junior enlisted reservists, in Abu Ghraib, force captured Iraqi insurgents to pose nude for photos. Then they falsely accuse the President of being responsible personally for the actions of these enlisted Soldiers of low character who acted on their own. But it matters not – support the purveyors of terror, even if the propaganda the other side gains from such support results in MORE BRAVE AMERICAN DEAD in the war. Never support the country and the troops that gave you life and freedom when a Republican is in office.

While a war to save our nation rages – a Liberal Democratic nominee for President turns the struggle into a political issue and chides the current President that “he lost Osama Bin Laden at Tora Bora because he outsourced the mission”. It doesn’t matter if the Democratic nominee has no evidence that Osama was even IN Tora Bora at the time of the assault. It doesn’t matter that the mission was “outsourced” solely because the Afghans were much more familiar with Tora Bora than American troops were. It doesn’t even matter if, in the next sentence, you attack the President for NOT outsourcing the Iraqi war fast enough. It matters not – support the purveyors of terror – but NEVER support the country that gave you life and freedom when a Republican is in office.

While a war to save our nation rages – a liberal Democrat takes to the floor of the Senate and compares our Soldiers, who are guarding detainees in Guatanamo Bay and other places around the world – TO NAZI’s. It doesn’t matter that your words breath even more hatred into the extremists and aid their recruiting efforts. It doesn’t matter if your words result in MORE BRAVE AMERICAN DEATHS. It matters not – support the purveyors of terror even when you have to defecate on the Soldiers that give you freedom and protect your children from terrorist attack here at home. But NEVER support the country and the troops that gave you life and freedom when a Republican is in office.

While a war to save our nation rages – a liberal Democratic Senator (Ted Kennedy), GANG RAPES the Joint Chiefs and the Secretary of Defense in a Senate hearing – asking SECDEF why he hasn’t resigned and completely dismissing out of hand the evaluation of the military experts present that the war is being won and the President is giving them all the support they need. It matters not that Ted Kennedy has NEVER been to Iraq and, therefore, is completely unqualified to judge how the war is going - one way or the other. It doesn’t matter if the terrorists are encouraged when they see our military leaders bent over the desk being flogged by an American Senator and being called incompetent. It matters not – support the purveyors of terror – but NEVER support the country that gave you life and freedom when a Republican is in office.

And for the Liberals in our nation who don’t hold office …

A college professor advocates that, instead of supporting military deserters, we should all support Soldiers who MURDER their Officers, thereby rendering our fighting forces ineffective in this war on terror. Where is the outcry from the LIBERAL PUBLIC AT LARGE? Why is this man still a college professor? Why haven’t LIBERALS joined with CONSERVATIVES to denounce and shun this man? I guess it doesn’t matter – because you should always support the purveyors of terror – and NEVER support the country that gave you life and freedom when a Republican is in office.

A mother’s grief over her dead soldier son is taken advantage of by the liberal anti-war left. Where is the outcry from the LIBERAL PUBLIC AT LARGE? I guess it doesn’t matter if the terrorists see this and take it as a sign that our backbone is breaking and our will to fight is evaporating. I guess it doesn’t matter because you should always support the purveyors of terror – NEVER support the country that gave you life and freedom when a Republican is in office.

As Rosie O’Donnell and Michael Moore call our President a “war criminal” and an evil man who is much worse than the terrorists who attacked us on 9-11. Where is the outcry from the LIBERAL PUBLIC AT LARGE? Why aren’t they pointing out that – for all our faults – we STILL are a tolerant people. We still believe in equal rights for both men and women. I guess it doesn’t matter that the terrorists, if they win this war, will force women to wear Islamic garb. It doesn’t matter if the terrorist ideal of “humane” treatment for prisoners means execution by beheading using a butcher knife. I guess it just doesn’t matter – support the purveyors of terror when they are opposing a Republican in office.

As schools and LIBERAL parents around the country attempt to ban military recruiters on school campuses – where is the outcry from the LIBERAL PUBLIC AT LARGE? I guess it doesn’t matter that our BRAVE troops are the only thing that stand between the terrorists and their children on those campuses.

I guess it just doesn’t matter because you should always support the purveyors of terror – even if doing so means the elimination of your own life and property – and the death of the American dream of FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY. All these things can be sacrificed when a Republican is in office.

I’d just like to remind everyone that the Republican in office is … elected. Elected according to the rules we established at the very genesis of this Republic.

I’d just like to remind everyone that the Republican in office is the one who is charged with leading our troops to victory against these terrorists who will not stop fighting until we have killed them – or a crescent moon flag flies in place of Old Glory over the capital dome.

I’d just like to remind everyone that the Republican in office and the men and women he leads in the Pentagon and the other federal agencies have prevented another 9-11 attack in this country – but he can’t keep the jihadists at bay forever unless WE ALL support him.

I’d just like to remind everyone that we are FIGHTING FOR OUR RIGHT TO EXIST – and the Republican in office now is the one charged with leading that fight!

I’d just like to remind everyone that, if EVERYONE followed the example of Senior Enlisted Non-Commissioned Officers in our military forces; if EVERYONE sang out IN ONE VOICE that we support the President and we WILL NOT STOP FIGHTING UNTIL WE HAVE ACHIEVED VICTORY …

This war would be completely over within 12 months.

The NCO’s know this. That is why even those who disagree with a policy render nothing but unquestioned support to it. Division results in mission failure – and DEAD AMERICANS. Nothing good comes from it when we are fighting for our lives and our way of life. The issues that divide us – Abortion, Equal Rights, Gun Control, Health Care, Labor rights and policies – all of these issues will evaporate in importance if we lose this war. All of these issues will be settled for us by a guy wearing a white robe and turban – and holding an AK-47 on the steps of our capital.

Sound melodramatic? It’s not. These are the stakes folks and the terrorists can easily bring this country to it’s knees if we don’t fight them to win. These kids of ours in uniform in Iraq and Afghanistan – and around the world – can either be the “next greatest generation”, or they can be the ones that oversaw our demise as a nation. I know these kids – these brave men and women who serve in uniform. They are capable of winning – but they require OUR support back here. They don’t need to hear us saying that their leader – the President – is an evil incompetent fool. They don’t need to hear us saying that they are fighting and dieing for no good reason. As good as they are I tell you – they will hesitate and crack if they continue to hear this. We need to SUPPORT THEM BY SUPPORTING THEIR LEADERS.

And that includes the ELECTED REPUBLICAN IN OFFICE!

I just wanted to remind everyone of that fact. Every time a Liberal – or Conservative – raises his voice to support the terrorists – that voice needs to be shouted into oblivion by ALL of the rest of us. “IRAQ” is not “Arabian” for Vietnam. We lost Vietnam and our nation survived. If we lose in Iraq – we will not. Who cares how we got there? The American people knew exactly how we got there and yet they still voted in the last election to reelect the Republican in office that put us there. It’s time to throw our marbles – all of ‘em – back into this game and play with a passion that we never believed we could muster. It’s time to follow the lead of our military Senior NCO’s.

It’s time to win folks.
