ABLE DANGER WALKBACK?

Many of the big blogs are starting to "walk back" from the ABLE DANGER story. This in light of the strong denial that came out Friday from the 9-11 Commission that they ever received any credible information that ABLE DANGER had identified Mohammed Atta in the U.S. one year before the 9/11 attacks.

I'm not going to walk it back yet. Tomorrow I may be walking in a different direction - but it won't be backward.

Here's a story that just came out today from NorthJersey.com ...

Deadly Tale of Incompetance ...

Wow - this is a detailed story - complete with Mohammed Atta's address (Wayne Motor Inn in Wayne? New Jersey) while he was in the US and assertions from this intelligence officer that they were really all over him - but were told to stand down by their superiors.

But is it the truth? Or a lie?

Who knows? But this information isn't the first attempt to put Atta in the Wayne Motor Inn a year before the attacks...

Look here ...

So this is either scary coincidence which lends credibility to Weldon's ABLE DANGER assertions - or someone is trying to tie urban legend threads together into a new modern myth.

I'll admit, we don't know what the story is here - but whatever it is ... it's big.

If the ABLE DANGER allegations are poo-poo, then we certainly have a BIG LIE being laid on all of us RIGHT NOW - courtesy of Congressman Weldon, a couple of reporters in the print media, and few anonymous military officers.

If it's true - the 9/11 commission is covering up.

I don't see any middle ground - it's pretty much one or the other. So rather than walk back - I'll wait to see exactly what direction this takes us.
