PRETTY PATHETIC

Short post here ... I have no comment ... but you should read this ...

Hollywood's New War Effort: Terrorism Chic

If these movies don't fall flat on their face I'll be seriously wondering if America still deserves the freedom it has.

I think it depends on how you look at these stories. A lot of them aren't necessarily "glorifying" terrorists. It may help to try to see things from their perspective, not so that we can agree, but so that we can predict situations and pull the steam out of them before we end up with another 9/11. These people are doing these things because they think it's right and if we can figure out why that is, then we can better handle them or at the very least, keep them from hurting us.

Oy, what a list of movies. Well, I guess there'll be a lot of movies I won't be seeing when they come out.

Seriously, though, why would someone make a film about the battle of Fallujah when the war isn't even over? And I'm sure they're not going to ask any of the soldiers who were there what their opinions are - just like that crappy a$$ TV show "Over There" obviously didn't do any research.

I wonder how the people portrayed in the movie will feel? Betrayed, maybe? Annoyed? Angry?

And out of all this, why don't movies like "Gunner Palace" get any press? Why is it always this kind of crap that does? Oh... wait... because Harrison Ford is in it. *blechhh*

Hey,

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting - and for linking me. I'll link you back, too.

Anyway, they're saying that he didn't write them any letters from Iraq. She said that the reason for this was that he didn't know his address yet to give it to them, and that the only letter they got was one he'd never been able to finish. But they didn't say what it said.
