Bill Roggio has a great post up on THE FORTH RAIL ...
Apparently, Sunni's in Ramadi came to their Shiite neighbors' rescue yesterday when Zarqawi and Al Qaeda ordered about 3,000 Shiites to leave the city.
The Sunni's picked up arms to fight Zarqawi and Al Qaeda for an hour yesterday - forcing Al Qaeda to beat a hasty retreat from at least two neighborhoods.
Sheik Ahmad Khanjar, leader of the Sunni Albu Ali clan, referring to Abu Musab al Zarqawi reportedly said ...
"We have had enough of his nonsense. We don't accept that a non-Iraqi should try to enforce his control over Iraqis, regardless of their sect -- whether Sunnis, Shiites, Arabs or Kurds.''
So it looks like Zarqawi's efforts to ignite a civil war between the Sunnis and the Shiites is suffering some major setbacks.
And that's good news - personally, I'm counting the days before we get to cut this guys head off with rusty cleaver. It can't come too soon. I know that my vile hatred of this butcher upsets the antiwar crowd out there who believe Zarqawi is a hero - but that's too bad.

It's very good news when people stand up for their neighbors regardless of their ethnic background. Very good news indeed.
