Bobby Jindall ...

I got a call the other night ...

RING ... RING...

ME: Hello?

Caller: Yes Sir, my name is Mike and I'm with the Bobby Jindal campaign for governor. Bobby is a true conservati vewho is committed to the elimination of corruption in Louisiana politics. Bobby ...

ME: I know who Bobby is ... you don't have to tell me about him.

Caller: Well, then Sir ... can we count on your financial support for his campaign?

ME: Of course you can but ... he's not going to win.

Caller: Oh don't say that Sir ... he IS going to win.

ME: (Laughing) ... No he won't ... he hasn't got a chance in hell of being elected Governor of Louisiana!

Caller: Why is that??

ME: He's TOO CLEAN. If I were his campaign manager I would tell him to throw some drugs into the trunk of his car and then go crash it into a police station. They'll find the drugs - and he'll be thrown into jail - or it will be opportunity for him skirt justice by bribing officials and promising influence, contracts, and / or kickbacks.

THEN - he'll have a shot in this state of being elected Governor!

-- Seriously, this is the actual conversation I had. It was a hoot!

It's too good to be true folks. Bobby Jindal - who looks like a geek, and sometimes hints that his wife bosses him around - is actually BY FAR the favorite to win the Louisiana governorship. And he'll be taking it from Kathleen Blame-Busho (excuse me, I mean "Blanco").

After Hurricane Katrina - Bobby Jindal was a shining light in Louisiana politics. He rolled his sleeves up - and went to Washington, DC to get things done. He didn't go on CNN and cry and blame Bush and play the race card like Mary Landrieu did. Instead, Bobby went to the hill and worked his colleagues for votes. He produced results - results which partially made up for the horrendous mistakes of Kathleen Blame-Busho.

Bobby is an Indian. He was born 6 months after his parents immigrated to the U.S. (legally) from India. That's another thing I discussed with his campaign caller - at least Bobby could spread a rumor that his parents got here illegally - that would get him a lot more support!

Heh ... go figure. Bobby somehow learned perfect English. Well, maybe not perfect English - he speaks with a genuine Southern accent.

Vote for Bobby Jindal - I'll write more on him in the future. But things are looking up here in Louisiana.
