Many African American supporters of Barack Obama claim that Whites are "incapable of understanding" the comments of Obama's pastor ... Jerimiah Wright (I'm not even going to give this guy the title of "Reverend" - he's a fascist, a racist, but he's no real "reverend" ... sorry.
Telling Whites, and Jews, and other ethnic groups that "we can't understand" Mr. Wright's comments - because we aren't "black" - is an elitist debate weapon ... a way of shutting US out of the debate here completely.
Okay fair enough. Don't want to debate the issue with us? Don't want to explain to us why those comments of Mr. Wright's - directed at us - "don't" mean what we think they mean? You don't want to explain how Barack could have associated himself so closely with this Nazi for more than twenty years yet - somehow Obama didn't know his preacher held those fascist views?
Fine - if you don't want to explain it to me - you don't have to.
But I don't have to vote for Barack - and won't. And I doubt many moderate or conservative Whites or any persons of Jewish faith will either - seeing as how Barack's "religious mentor" has associated himself so closely with antisemitism.
That's going to leave Barack with the African American vote and the extreme left wing self-loathing White vote. That's something I suppose - but it's not enough to build a credible run for Pennsylvania Avenue on. Sorry.
Hispanics don't seem to be doing flips for Barack - and it's doubtful this controversy will cause them to "warm" to him.
Very simple folks - if they shut you out of the debate - don't vote for the guy. They can pound the table as hard as they want - we still (no thanks to Barack's preacher) live in a FREE COUNTRY where we can walk into a voting booth and pull the lever for whomever we wish. We don't have to pull that lever for Barack.
Adios.
